How old are you?
18
Did you go to TCBC as a camper? If so, how many years?
Yes. 8 years as a camper.
How did you hear about TCBC?
TCBC has been a part of my family for generations.
How did you decide on your camp name?
I am a cross country runner.
If you were stranded on an island and had to pick 3 TCBC staff members to rescue you, who would it be and why?
Raptor (we have worked hard together), Wombat (was my crew dean), & Zulu (we have been through a lot together).
What are some of your favorite things about TCBC?
The environment is something that I have not been able to fin any where else. It is a place that I could dress up a crazy as I want.
What's your favorite activity at camp?
I enjoy hanging out with my friends. No matter what we did.
What is one of your favorite camp songs?
“Fill up my cup”
What is your favorite camp skit?
This little light of mine
What is your favorite camp meal?
I enjoy the soup and grilled cheese sandwich.
What is your favorite game we play at camp?
I enjoy playing the Great Tennis Ball Caper.
Share with us a God-moment camper story that you have seen or been a part of:
When I was a CIT, my second week I stayed up really late doing a one-on-one with a camper. He was one of the people that I expected to be a Christian, but I was wrong. The camper was about to leave his faith and become an atheist.
How has your life been impacted or transformed during or after working at camp?
While I was at camp, I felt like I could be myself anywhere from my crazy costume to taking time away to be by myself to talking really deep with someone that was willing.
How has your life been transformed by working at camp?
I was able show my mom the way that I handled things by learning how to do it better at camp. Even if they were really hard things to deal with.
What has God been teaching you lately?
To enjoy what I have right now instead of focusing on the past of the future.
What is a Bible verse that you keep going back to lately? What is it teaching you?
Psalm 139:9-10. It has been teaching that no matter what is happening that I am not alone.
What is one of the funniest things that has happened to you at camp?
Being in a inflatable blue suit with a blue wig on.
What is one of your fondest memories from working on staff?
Staying up late having one-on-ones with other staff members.
What is your favorite place at TCBC? Why?
The field. When it is not in it’s normal craziness, it is a place that I like to sit at and marvel at the nature that is surrounding me.
What staff member has had the biggest impact on you at TCBC?
Wombat or Raptor
How would you explain working at TCBC to people who have never done it before?
It is an experience I will never be able feel again. Out of three years of working there, I have never been able to get the same experience. Each one is was different. I get really close to the staff and get the chance to pour my love in to the younger generation.
What jobs have you had at camp?
I was on Crew (2017), a CIT (2018), and on Go Kart Pit Krew (2019).
What do you love about your job?
That I was able work hard and doing for a long time, while keeping it safe and attempting to cause less chaos.
What makes working at camp so fun?
That everyone is willing to have a good time and hang out everyone else. No matter what department they worked in.
Would you recommend working at camp to someone? Why?
I would recommend working at camp to someone because I have had so much and have changed me for the better.
