How old are you?

How did you hear about TCBC?
My mom heard about it from a friend.
How did you decide on your camp name?
I say the word “slightly” a lot and it stuck.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A firefighter. And I’m still pursuing that dream.
If you were stranded on an island and had to pick 3 TCBC staff members to rescue you, who would it be and why?
1. Prince Charming – he is my best friend and will always provide comic relief
(he didn’t finish the list so it’s up to PC to save Slightly! haha)
What is one of your favorite camp songs?
“Gentle Hands”
What is your favorite camp meal?
Pancakes and Bacon.
How has your life been transformed by serving at camp?
Working at camp has made me strive to do better and seek God while doing it.
What spiritual truths have you been learning about lately?
That God will always be with me no matter what I’m going through.
What has God been teaching you lately?
To have more patience.
What has God been saying to you lately?
Don’t give up.
What is the funniest things that has happened to you at camp?
Watching Otter fall into the pool because Ca$h took her goldfish snack (she was not hurt).
What is one of your fondest memories from serving on staff?
The program parties.
What is your favorite place at TCBC? Why?
The walkable bridge, it’s a nice place to go to, relax, and think things through.
What staff member has had the biggest impact on you at TCBC?
Rio. He was my dean for the past two years and he has really helped me grow closer to the Lord.
What jobs have you had at camp?
Crew in 2019, Rec Staff in 2020, and Lifeguard in 2021
What did you love about your job?
As a lifeguard, I loved watching others have fun and knowing that they were safe.
What makes serving at camp so fun?
The genuinely fun and amazing people.
Would you recommend serving at camp to someone? Why?
Yes! You should work at camp because you’ll learn the value of working as a team and grow in your walk with Christ along the way.

Camp is an amazing place that will forever have a place in my heart.
