Jim has served as Youth Pastor at SW Hills Baptist Church in Beaverton Oregon for over 22 years. His goal is to equip and encourage youth to discover who they are in Christ and use their God-given gifts to serve. Jim also leads worship and facilitates music and tech teams for Sunday mornings. He desires to follow Philippians 2:3-8 which encourages demonstrating Christ’s humility as we serve others.

He has been married to Celeste for over 37 years and they have two adult children, Kyle (34) married to Alise, and Melissa (31) married to Daje and one adorable granddaughter, Nevaeh.

Along with leading youth and worship, Jim has taught with several organizations including Adelphia Discipleship School and Training Leaders International in Ethiopia. He currently serves on the board for Mexican Medical Mission. Jim also enjoys time with his family, travel, teaching, running, skiing, coffee, and one on one discipleship.
